Out patient services

The registration desk is available from 8.00 am to 8.00 pm. Appointment for consultants can be fixed online or over phone call to the reception desk. There is no token issued for phone and online appointments. Tokens are issued only on arrival at the counter. Aadhar card and phone number are necessary for new registration. Patients are advised not to change their phone number because phone number is used to trace the OPD number if the same is lost. Patient’s thumb impression or facial recognition is also captured to ensure personal identification and for tracking lost OPD number. There are OPD staff who will guide through the process of consultation, investigations, treatment, and exit or admission as inpatient. Priority is given to small children not accompanied by mother, elderly, physically challenged and sick patients.

Inpatient services

The hospital has a range of accommodations starting from ‘at cost’ wards to executive rooms with better conveniences. In ‘at cost’ services beds, the patient pays only the cost of implants, medicines, operation theatre rent and room rent. All professional fees like doctor’s fee, nursing charges, in-house consultant fee,  post operative ward charges are waived.
The accommodation categories are so designed to suit any budget.

Admission process

When the patient has given written consent for admission as inpatient at the reception desk, he is given option regarding the type of room preference. When the room of his preference is not available, he is admitted in a lower or higher category temporarily and shifted to his preferred room at the earliest.

The reception staff will inform the ward staff who will get the room ready, come to the reception to escort the patient to the ward.

The patient or his attendee will next meet the accounts department insurance coordinator to verify if he has an insurance, whether he is eligible for cashless facility, whether he is willing for ‘ all disposables’
(where every thing from bed sheets to theatre drapes are single use only), is willing to absorb the extra cost involved, the approximate cost of treatment and the type and make of implants he choses. The information is passed on the ward and operation theatre so that the patient’s choice is executed. Patients are required to pay an advance, the amount depends on the type of surgery and the cost of implants.

Administrative services

Accounts department manages the inpatient billing, the insurance processing for cashless, third-party payment or any other mode of payment. For any queries regarding IP billing, the accounts manager can be contacted. Patients or attenders are requested to contact the receptionist for connecting with the accounts manager.
 
Medical Records Department of KKOH is one of the best in the country. Digitally preserved outpatient and inpatient records are available a period of time as dictated by statutory requirements. Easy tracing of data is possible for research purposes.
 
Human Resource manager takes care of the induction of employees, their continued monitoring, training programs and safety of employees. KKOH considers its employees as the real asset to the institution.
 
Information technology  has a robust information technology division which handles the hospital software management. Appropriate modifications of the software is done in-house every component of the administrative department ensures upgradation of the skill and technology as pillars of improvement of the services of the hospital.

Canteen and food services

Canteen provides good, tasty and healthy hygiene food. Special requests and requirements of specific patients are entertained. A qualified dietician supervises, the food services.

Pharmacy services

The pharmacy works round the clock. All medicines and surgical supplies are available. Any special medication that is not available is resourced and supplied. Pharmacy serves both outpatients and inpatients. Only prescription generated by in-house doctors and consultants are honored by the pharmacy. Inpatients can opt for a daily payment of generated prescription or inclusive IP billing after paying an advance amount.

Laboratory services

All routine blood investigations required for orthopedics are done in house. Pathology, culture test and special tests are outsourced. Laboratory services are available round the clock. Indoor requests are normally honored. For outside requests, contact reception for generating indoor requests.

Round the clock biochemistry laboratory services are available in KKOH. All routine biochemical investigations are done. Latest generation auto analyzer is available. Lab honors only in house requests for investigations. Outside requests need to be converted to in-house requests. Contact reception for details.

Physiotherapy services

Available for Outpatient and inpatients. All modern gadgets are available. The therapists are trained to deal with orthopedic and hand injury cases, thus optimizing results Available for indoor prescriptions only. For outside requests, contact the reception to generate indoor prescriptions. Physiotherapy department is open from 8.00 am to 5.00 pm on all days
except Sundays. Prior appointment is necessary.

Radiology services

Digital X-Ray with lowest possible radiation hazards for patients and operators. The dedicated X-Ray department with 1000 square feet area, with full compliance to all statutory regulations. All radiology investigations are routine.

Ultrasound and echocardiogram
Fully functional diagnostic ultrasound, echocardiogram and doppler study are available. The studies are done by experienced Sonologist. Prior appointment is necessary. Contact reception for appointment.

Dexa scan
Bone health is something most people neglect. Particularly people beyond 50 years of age, particularly women lose their bone health very fast. Bone loss is also seen in patients on treatment for cancer. Unless the bone loss is identified and treated early, their bones become brittle and fracture with minimal injury. Combined with assessment of
vitamin D, Dexa scan is the diagnostic tool to identify bone loss early. Effective treatment can be instituted to protect the bones from spontaneous fractures. We have installed the latest generation Dexa scan equipment. Dexa scan is done daily except Sundays 9 am to 5 pm. Contact reception for details.
